I am not in a rush and we are talking but I have other options and I don't want to wait until September to sort out my future.

I realized midway through the race that it was futile to try and catch Fernando and we were safely in second, which is tremendous for everyone in the team,

I honestly think that was a great lap.

I had a chance to join the team already in late 2004. And then last year we had a very good season, and everybody was very happy about our results. I've really settled down in the team. I'm 100 percent committed to Toyota and happy to be here. Step by step we're getting close to where we want to get.

It was a bit of a gamble and as it turned out it was not the right choice. When I came out I was barely able to maintain the pace of the safety car and we went to the back after we stopped again. I worked my way back up through the field but late on I was following Monteiro when he accidently hit the pit limiter button. I had no way of avoiding him and I hit him, losing my front wing and going off into the wall.

Then we will start to find out where we really stand.

This has been a good day of running. We were able to do some set-up work and tyre comparisons. We also worked on some small test items to prepare for the new season, like different oil-level set-ups. This caused some smoke in the morning, but this is of no worry for us it was something we were purposely testing. All in all, we have gained some good mileage and look forward to pushing hard until the end of tomorrow to gain the confidence we need before the first race.

The team's decision to put on slicks at the first stop was a colossal absurdity,

We are still getting through mileage and gaining experience on the car. The clutch sensor problem this morning meant that we could not get through a huge amount of work but the afternoon was better, making this a reasonable day for us.
